§ 2C:58-28 — Destruction of firearms permitted.
New Jersey·Title 2C THE NEW JERSEY CODE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE
9.A law enforcement agency holding any firearm or ammunition surrendered pursuant to P.L.2018, c.35 (C.2C:58-20 et al.) for more than one year after the termination of the extreme risk protective order may destroy the firearm or ammunition in accordance with the policies and procedures of the agency for destruction of firearms or ammunition. L.2018, c.35, s.9.
