2A:24-2. Two or more persons by their agreement in writing may submit to arbitration a controversy existing between them at the time of the agreement, whether the controversy arises out of a contract or the refusal to perform the whole or a part thereof or out of any other matter. They may also agree in writing that a judgment of a court of record, chosen by them shall be rendered upon the award made pursuant to the submission. L.1951 (1st SS), c.344; amended 1991,c.91,s.79.
