Text

1.Notwithstanding any other provision of law, rule or regulation to the contrary, whenever the department transfers jurisdiction of State Highway Route No. 42, or a portion thereof, to the South Jersey Transportation Authority, the department shall provide that after the transfer of such highway, or portion thereof, the highway shall remain forever free of tolls or other charges. The department shall cause a statement containing the conditions of the transfer, including a prohibition of the imposition of tolls or other charges for use of the highway, to be attached to and recorded with the deed of the land. These restrictions and conditions shall run with the land and shall be binding upon the landowner and every successor in interest thereto. L.1999,c.261,s.1.
