Text
The authority may not acquire any land, erect any structure, nor alter the landscape for the purpose of carrying out the project described in section 1 unless and until the Governor, upon reviewing the environmental impact statement described in section 3 and upon consulting with the Commissioner of Environmental Protection, shall declare that such statement adequately provides for the minimization of any adverse environmental impact of such project and that such project is in the best interests of the people of this State. L.1972, c. 28, s. 2, eff. May 25, 1972.
