Text
Whenever within the jurisdiction of a local board there is a person infected with any communicable disease, the State department may cause a notice in writing, signed by the Commissioner of Health, to be sent to the local board requiring it to take action for the restriction of the spread of the communicable disease within the time specified in the notice. If no action is taken by the local board within the time specified in the notice, the State department may bring a proceeding in lieu of prerogative writ to compel the local board to take the action ordered in the notice.
