26:4-35. If a person in the infectious stage of a sexually transmitted infection shall fail to report as directed to the physician in attendance for treatment, the physician shall report such failure to the local board, or to the Department of Health, which shall forward the information to the local board. The local board may require such person to be examined as provided in sections 26:4-30 and 26:4-31 of this title. If upon examination the person is found to have a sexually transmitted infection in its infectious stage and does not present evidence to show that the person is being regularly treated by a licensed physician for the disease, the person shall be quarantined as described in sections 26:4-36 and 26:4-37 of this title.
