Text
A patient may file a written complaint against a hospital for a failure to comply with the provisions of this act, or any rule or regulation adopted pursuant to this act, either with the hospital or the Department of Health. The hospital or the Department of Health, as appropriate, shall respond promptly in writing to the complaint. The Department of Health shall investigate a written complaint filed with the department and report its findings to the hospital and the patient. L.1989,c.170,s.4.
