§ 19:15-5 — Emergency ballots; preparation; use

If at any election the ballots to be furnished therefor shall not be delivered at the time above mentioned, or if after delivery they shall be destroyed or stolen and other official ballots cannot be obtained in time for such election, the clerk of the county or municipality, or the district board, as the case may require, shall cause other ballots to be prepared as nearly in the form heretofore prescribed as practicable, but without the indorsement on the top. Upon the receipt of ballots thus prepared from the clerk of the county or municipality, accompanied by a statement, under oath, of the person preparing the same, that they have been so prepared and furnished because the original ballots have so failed to be received or have been destroyed or stolen, and that other official ballots could not be obtained in time for such election, or where the district board has caused such unofficial ballots to be prepared, the board shall cause the ballots so substituted to be used at the election.
