19:15-27. To vote for any candidates whose names are printed in any column, the voter shall mark a cross x , plus + or check in ink or pencil in the square at the left of the name of each candidate in any column for whom he desires to vote to the number to be elected for each office. To vote upon the public questions printed on the ballot the voter shall indicate his choice by marking a cross x , plus + or check in ink or pencil in the square at the left of either the word "Yes" or "No" of each public question. Amended 1947,c.104,s.4; 1994,c.77,s.7.
