§ 18A:64G-30 — Acquisition of interest in Rutgers Medical School facilities; transfers to University of Medicine and Dentistry

Upon acquisition by the college of such interest in the facilities of Rutgers Medical School as will permit the college to carry out the purposes set forth in section 2 of this act: (a) All appropriations available and to become available to the Rutgers Medical School and Rutgers, The State University for the purposes of the Rutgers Medical School shall be transferred to the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey by the Director of the Division of Budget and Accounting in the Department of the Treasury and shall be available for the objects and purposes for which appropriated, subject to any terms, restrictions, limitations or other requirements imposed by the State budget; (b) All other grants, gifts, other moneys and property available and to become available to or for the Rutgers Medical School shall be transferred to the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and shall be available for the objects and purposes of the college, subject to any terms, restrictions, limitations or other requirements imposed by State and Federal law or otherwise; (c) All employees of the Rutgers Medical School shall become employees of the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Nothing in this act shall be considered to deprive any person of any tenure rights or of any right or protection provided him under any pension law or retirement system or any other law of this State; (d) All files, books, papers, records, equipment and other personal property of Rutgers Medical School shall be transferred to the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey; and (e) All orders, rules or regulations theretofore made or promulgated by Rutgers Medical School shall continue with full force and effect as the orders, rules and regulations of the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey until amended or repealed by the college.
