§ 18A:17-32 — Bond of treasurer

If the treasurer is an officer of the municipality constituting the district, and the bond given by him for the faithful performance of his duties as such municipal officer covers and secures the faithful performance of his duties as treasurer of school moneys, and it shall be so certified to the board by a certificate of such coverage by the bondsman thereon and the amount thereof is sufficient to cover both the original and the additional liability he shall not be required to give additional bond but otherwise or if he is not such an officer he shall give bond for the faithful performance of his duties as treasurer of school moneys in such amount, and with such surety, as the board shall direct.
