§ 17:48E-18 — Annual contract, renewal; family coverage
New Jersey·Title 17 CORPORATIONS AND INSTITUTIONS FOR FINANCE AND INSURANCE
a.Every individual contract made by a health service corporation shall provide coverage for a specified period of not less than one year, and no contract shall be made providing for the inception of coverage at a date later than one year after the actual date of the making of the contract, without the prior approval of the commissioner. The contract may provide that it shall be automatically renewed from year to year unless there shall have been at least 30 days' prior written notice of termination by either the subscriber or the health service corporation.
