Text

Notwithstanding any provision of a group or individual policy or contract of a medical service plan, whenever such a policy or contract provides for reimbursement for any service which is within the lawful scope of practice of a duly licensed dentist, the following provisions shall apply: a. A person covered under such medical service policy or contract shall be entitled to reimbursement for such service regardless of whether the service is performed by a duly licensed physician or duly licensed dentist.

b.Equal reimbursement rates shall be paid for services performed, regardless of the discipline of the provider of the service. L.1978, c. 187, s. 1, eff. Jan. 9, 1979.
