The Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Protection is hereby authorized and directed to develop and maintain a Comprehensive Master Plan for the acquisition, development and use of open lands in the State in conjunction with the provisions of the "New Jersey Green Acres and Recreation Opportunities Bond Act of 1974" (P.L.1974, c. 102) or any other Green Acres Bond Act adopted subsequent to the effective date of this act. This plan shall be long range in nature and be regularly revised and updated. On February 1 of each year the commissioner shall report to the Legislature on the status of the Comprehensive Master Plan. L.1977, c. 348, s. 1, eff. Jan. 30, 1978.
