Text

The Legislature finds and declares that the acquiring, planning, designing, developing, operating and managing of the State parks and forests is in the best interest of the citizens of this State and that the provision of recreational programs to all segments of the public enhances the public health, prosperity and general welfare and is a proper responsibility of the State. The Legislature further finds and declares that forested lands in the State should be managed to maximize the public benefit from the State's forest resources. L.1983, c. 324, s. 2, eff. Sept. 1, 1983.
