Every retailer of lead acid batteries shall conspicuously post and maintain, at or near the point of sale, a legible notice to consumers, not less than 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches in size and bearing the State recycling logo or symbol, containing the following inscription: "Lead acid batteries can be recycled here. It is illegal to discard an automotive or marine lead acid battery in New Jersey. State law requires us to accept and recycle any used automotive or marine lead acid battery returned to us, in exchange for the purchase of a new lead acid battery." L.1991,c.94,s.6.
