§ 13:1E-203 — Manufacturer to accept used lead acid battery from distributor
New Jersey·Title 13 CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT--PARKS AND RESERVATIONS
No manufacturer may refuse to accept any used lead acid battery from any distributor. Every manufacturer producing lead acid batteries for distribution or sale in this State shall provide for the proper recycling of used lead acid batteries returned pursuant to this act. A manufacturer may arrange for the transportation of used lead acid batteries to: a. a secondary lead smelter permitted by the United States Environmental Protection Agency; or b. any scrap processing facility that accepts used lead acid batteries for recycling.
