Text

No person shall dispose of a used lead acid battery as solid waste at any time. Any person seeking to discard a used lead acid battery may deliver the used lead acid battery to: a. a retailer of lead acid batteries, or a distributor or manufacturer engaged in the sale at wholesale of lead acid batteries; b. a secondary lead smelter; c. a scrap processing facility at which used lead acid batteries are received, stored, processed or transferred for the purposes of recycling; or d. a household hazardous waste collection site established pursuant to a county household hazardous waste collection program.
