§ 13:17-48 — Payment of funds into court in event of uncertainty or dispute
New Jersey·Title 13 CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT--PARKS AND RESERVATIONS
When owners of any property have been or shall have been awarded damages as incidental to any improvement undertaken pursuant to this act, and such award has been or shall have been duly confirmed, the amount thereof shall be tendered to the person or persons entitled thereto. If there is uncertainty as to the person entitled to receive the award or if the party entitled to receive the amount awarded shall refuse upon tender thereof to receive the same, or shall be out of the State or under any legal disability, or if several parties interested in the fund shall not agree as to the distribution thereof, or the lands damaged are encumbered by any mortgage, judgment or other lien, or if for any other reason the commission cannot safely pay the amount awarded to any person, in all such cases
