Text
Before entering upon the duties of the office, an assistant state treasurer shall be sworn and shall give bond to the state in the sum of $40,000, with sufficient sureties to be approved by the governor and council, conditioned on the faithful discharge of the duties of the office. The bond shall be filed and preserved in the office of the secretary of state.
