§ 427:32 — Costs of Inspection; Limitation
New Hampshire·Title XL AGRICULTURE, HORTICULTURE AND ANIMAL HUSBANDRY·Ch. 427 LIVESTOCK AND MEAT INSPECTION·Subdivision Meat Inspection
In addition to the cost of the inspection required under this subdivision, the establishment shall pay a fee to the department based on the number and species of animals slaughtered. Such fee shall be determined by the commissioner in rules adopted pursuant to RSA 541-A and shall support the administrative costs of certifying meat inspectors and conducting audits of establishments. All employees of the department who are required to make inspections at any time after working 40 hours per week or after working 8 hours per day shall be paid at the rate of time and a half. Labor performed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays shall also be compensated at the rate of time and a half.
