Text

I.The commissioner, subject to the approval of the governor, shall appoint a deputy commissioner of insurance who shall hold office for 5 years and until a successor has been appointed and qualified.
II.The deputy commissioner of insurance shall perform such duties and exercise such powers of the commissioner pursuant to RSA Title XXXVII as the commissioner from time to time may authorize.
III.When the office of the commissioner is vacant, or when the commissioner is unable to perform his duties because of mental or physical disability, the deputy commissioner of insurance shall be acting commissioner. III-a. There shall be an assistant commissioner who shall be appointed by the commissioner of insurance. He or she shall serve at the pleasure of the commissioner. When the offices of the
