Text

I.There is hereby created a commission to be known as the New Hampshire commission for human rights, which shall be administratively attached to the department of justice pursuant to RSA 21-G:10, with additional oversight provided by the director of the department's civil rights unit, or designee, pursuant to a memorandum of understanding entered into by the department and the commission. Such commission shall consist of 7 members, who shall be appointed by the governor, with the consent of the council, and one of whom shall be designated as chair by the governor. The term of office of each member of the commission shall be for 5 years.
II.Any member chosen to fill a vacancy occurring otherwise than by expiration of term shall be appointed for the unexpired term of the member who is to b
