Text
The purpose of this subdivision is to set appropriate standards for the proper licensure of court reporters, and to establish and maintain a standard of competency for individuals engaged in the practice of court reporting, to maintain the integrity of the transcription of the spoken word, and to contribute to the protection of the general public thereby.
