Text
There is hereby created the state highway safety unit as a unit within the department of safety which shall be the agency responsible under the executive direction of the governor to develop and implement the state's highway safety program. The commissioner shall be the governor's representative with the national highway traffic safety administration and will aid the governor in the coordination of interdepartmental activities and those of the various political subdivisions.
