Text

There is established within the department the division of waste management, under the supervision of an unclassified director of waste management. The division, through its officials, shall be responsible for the former functions, duties, and responsibilities of the office of waste management of the division of public health services and the former functions, duties, and responsibilities of the solid waste management board. The director shall be responsible for collecting and recording data on matters relevant to the functional responsibilities of the division and providing such data to the administrative services unit in the office of the commissioner for inclusion in the department data base.
