(1)For purposes of this section:
(a)Communications service provider means a cable operator as defined in 47 U.S.C. 522, a provider of information service as defined in 47 U.S.C. 153, or a telecommunications carrier as defined in 47 U.S.C. 153, but does not include a wireless provider; and
(b)Outage has the same meaning as described in 47 C.F.R. 4.5(e).
(2)A communications service provider that is required to file reports with the Federal Communications Commission regarding a 911 service outage pursuant to 47 C.F.R. 4.9(h) shall also file copies of such reports with the Public Service Commission. The reports filed with the Public Service Commission shall follow the same timelines and provide the same information as outlined in 47 C.F.R. 4.9 and 4.11. Reports filed pursuant to this secti
