§ 8-1725 — Director; investigation; enforcement; powers
Nebraska·Ch. 8 Banks and Banking
(1)The director may make investigations, within or without this state, as he or she finds necessary or appropriate to:
(a)Determine whether any person has violated or is about to violate any provision of the Commodity Code or any rule, regulation, or order of the director; or
(b)Aid in enforcement of the Commodity Code.
(2)The director may publish information concerning any violation of the code or any rule, regulation, or order of the director.
(3)For purposes of any investigation or proceeding under the Commodity Code, the director or any officer or employee designated by rule, regulation, or order may administer oaths and affirmations, subpoena witnesses, compel the attendance of witnesses, take evidence, and require the production of any books, papers, correspondence, memoranda, a
