Text

The funds allocated for maternal and child health in this state shall be used and distributed subject to the supervision of the Department of Health and Human Services:

(1)For promoting the health of mothers and children, especially in rural areas, suffering from some economic distress;
(2)for the establishment, extension, and improvement of local maternal and child health services to be administered by local child health units; and (3) for demonstration services in needy areas and among groups in special need. The department shall also cooperate with licensed physicians and surgeons and with nursing and welfare groups and organizations for the purposes herein expressed.
