(1)Credit for reinsurance shall be allowed a domestic ceding insurer as either an asset or a reduction from liability on account of reinsurance ceded only when the reinsurer meets the requirements of subsection (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), or (8) of this section and any additional requirements contained in rules and regulations adopted and promulgated by the Director of Insurance pursuant to subsection (2) of section 44-416.09 relating to or setting forth (a) the valuation of assets or reserve credits, (b) the amount and form of security supporting reinsurance arrangements, or (c) the circumstances pursuant to which credit will be reduced or eliminated.
