§ 61-24-06 — Meetings of the board - Quorum - Board to adopt rules, regulations, and bylaws

The board of directors of the district shall adopt such rules and regulations and bylaws for
the conduct of the business affairs of the district as the board deems necessary, including the
time and place of regular meetings of the board. The board shall elect from its number a
chairman and vice chairman. The board shall also elect a secretary and a treasurer, which
offices may be held by the same person, and either or both offices may be held by someone not
a member of the board. Special meetings may be called by the secretary on order of the
chairman of the board or upon the written request of the majority of the qualified members of the
board. Notice of a special meeting shall be mailed to each member of the board at least six
days before such meetings, provided, that a special meeting may be held at any time when all
members of the board are present or consent thereto in writing. A majority of the members of
the board of directors shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business, but any number
may adjourn the meeting for want of a quorum.
