Text
The board of directors of the district, at the time and place mentioned in the notice of
hearing on the petition, or at such time to which the hearing of the petition may be adjourned,
shall proceed to hear such petition and shall receive and consider all objections presented by
any elector in the district or other affected person to the inclusion therein of lands described in
the petition or any part thereof. The secretary of the board shall take note of all objections and
include the same in the minutes of the meeting. The failure of any elector in the district to
appear and object at the hearing, or to file with the board the elector's objection in writing before
or at the hearing, shall be deemed to be an assent on the elector's part to the inclusion of such
lands.
