Text
The election provided for in section 61-09-18 shall be called upon the notice prescribed, and
shall be held and the result thereof determined and declared in all respects in conformity with
the provisions relating to bond elections. The notice must specify the amount of money
proposed to be raised, and the purpose for which it is intended to be raised, at such election.
The ballot at such election shall be in substantially the following form:
Shall a special assessment in the amount of $__________ (stating the amount) be levied?
Yes ☐
No ☐
If a majority of the votes cast are in favor of such assessment the board, at the time of the
annual levy, shall levy an assessment sufficient to raise the amount voted.
