Duty of treasurer. The board may draw from time to time from the construction fund and deposit in the county treasury of the county where the office of the board is situated any sum in excess of the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars. The county treasurer shall receive and receipt for the same and place the same to the credit of the district, and the county treasurer shall be responsible upon the county treasurer's official bond for the safekeeping and disbursement of the same as provided in this chapter. The county treasurer shall pay out the same, or any part thereof, to the treasurer of the district only upon the order of the board, signed by the president, and attested by the secretary.
