The department shall cooperate with each state entity providing access to any computer database or electronically filed or stored information under subsection 4 of section 44-04-18 to assist in providing economical, efficient, and compatible access. The chief information officer shall conduct conferences and meetings with political subdivisions to review and coordinate information technology. The chief information officer and the chief information officer of the North Dakota university system shall meet at least twice each year to plan and coordinate their information technology.
