Text
Each participating library shall designate a representative to sit on the board of the regional
library cooperative. At its first meeting, the board shall elect a president, vice president,
treasurer, and any other officer it determines to be necessary. The director of the designated
library resource center shall serve as an ex officio nonvoting member of the board. The board
shall meet at least six times a year and has the power to contract, hire staff and set
compensation levels, and adopt bylaws for the conduct of its business. The term of office for all
officers of the board is one year, commencing on the January first after election.
