Text
1.The industrial commission may, within the limits of legislative appropriations, enter into
contracts with institutions of higher education in this state, or with other parties, for the
following purposes:
a.Studies on the development of cogeneration systems.
b.Studies on the promotion and development of energy conservation programs and
renewable energy sources.
c.Studies of the feasibility of developing waste products utilization.
2.The industrial commission may, within the limits of legislative appropriations, provide
for the making of grants in aid of those persons or entities doing research or
development with respect to energy conservation, renewable energy sources,
cogeneration, or waste products utilization. Grants under this subsection must be
