North Dakota Statutes
§ 50-06-11 — Reciprocal agreements by department
The department, with the approval of the attorney general, may:
1.Enter into reciprocal agreements with corresponding state agencies of other states
having like statutory authority, regarding the interstate residence, care, and
transportation of indigent persons.
2.Arrange with the proper officials in this state for:
a.The acceptance, transfer, and support of persons receiving any form of public aid
or relief or likely to become a public charge in other states; and
b.The acceptance, transfer, and support of persons from another state receiving
any form of public aid or relief or likely to become a public charge in this state, in
accordance with the terms of the reciprocal agreement with other states.
