§ 47-04-29 — Covenants running with the land - Liability as holder only
A person, merely by reason of having acquired an estate subject to a covenant running with
the land, is not liable for breach of the covenant before the person acquired the estate, or after
the person has parted with it or ceased to enjoy its benefits.
