of assessments.
The chief administrative officer shall assess the cost of making the plat against the
properties benefited proportionally to the benefits received. The assessments are subject to the
approval of the governing body of the jurisdiction after due consideration and hearing of all
objections at a meeting designated for that purpose. At least ten days before the hearing, the
assessments must be published in full by the chief administrative officer of the jurisdiction in the
official newspaper of the jurisdiction. The chief administrative officer shall certify the
assessments, when approved by the governing body.
