Text

1.The division of homeland security and emergency management shall encourage and assist political subdivisions to enter mutual aid agreements with other public and private agencies within the state for reciprocal aid and assistance in responding to and recovering from actual and potential disasters or emergencies.
2.In reviewing emergency operations plans and programs of political subdivisions, the division of homeland security and emergency management shall consider whether the plans and programs contain adequate provisions for mutual aid.
3.Local emergency management organizations may assist in negotiation of mutual aid agreements between the governor and an adjoining state or province or a political subdivision of a province and shall carry out arrangements of any such agreements rel
