Text
The supreme court, in any case decided by it, shall give its decision in writing, which must
be filed with the clerk of said court with the other papers in the case. A decision in a case heard
at a general or special term, and all orders affecting the same, may be filed in vacation, and
judgment entered thereon in pursuance of the finding and order of the court with the same effect
as upon a decision made and filed in that term.
