Text
The commissioner may adopt rules to require small employer carriers, as a condition of
transacting business with small employers in this state after August 1, 1993, to reissue a health
benefit plan to any small employer whose health benefit plan has been terminated or has not
been renewed by the carrier after January 1, 1994. The rules may contain terms for the reissue
of coverage as the commissioner determines necessary to provide continuity of coverage to
small employers.
