reimbursement required. The insured or any person covered by a health insurance policy, health service contract, or evidence of coverage on an individual, group, blanket, franchise, or association basis issued, delivered, executed, or renewed by an insurance company, nonprofit health service corporation, or health maintenance organization which provides for reimbursement or payment for services that are within the scope of practice of an advanced registered nurse practitioner who has received an advanced license under rules adopted by the North Dakota state board of nursing is entitled to reimbursement or payment for services performed by an advanced registered nurse practitioner and the advanced registered nurse practitioner is entitled to direct reimbursement by the insurer.
