year. The sanity or insanity of the person is not a factor in determining whether a person committed suicide within the terms of a life insurance policy or certificate regulating the payment of benefits in the event of the insured's suicide. In any suit on a life insurance policy or certificate, it is no defense after the policy or certificate has been in force one year that the insured committed suicide, and any provision or stipulation to the contrary in the policy or certificate is void.
