A life insurance policy may pass by transfer, will, or succession to any person, whether that person has an insurable interest or not, and that person may recover upon the policy in accordance with the terms of the policy. An insured under a group life insurance policy, pursuant to agreement among the insured, the group policyholder, and the insurer, may make an assignment of all or any part of the incidents of ownership held by the insured under the policy, including any right to designate a beneficiary and any right to have an individual policy issued in case of termination of employment. An assignment, whether made prior to or subsequent to July 1, 1971, is valid for the purpose of vesting in the assignee all the incidents of ownership assigned, and entitles the insurer to deal with th
