Fee.
The commissioner may not issue a license to any applicant until the applicant files with the
commissioner a designation of the commissioner and the commissioner's successors in office,
as the applicant's true and lawful attorney, upon whom may be served all lawful process in any
action or proceeding instituted by or on behalf of any interested person arising out of the
applicant's insurance business in this state. The designation constitutes an agreement that the
service of process is of the same legal force and validity as personal service of process in this
state upon the person.
