commissioner. A domestic life insurance company must physically deposit with the commissioner, on the date on which the company files its annual statement, securities of a value equivalent to the net value of all policies the company has in force. The securities must be of a kind specified in section 26.1-05-19. The company, in lieu of the physical deposit, may file, and the commissioner shall accept, a detailed, verified statement setting forth with sufficient particularity a list of the items of security held by the company in an amount equivalent to the net value of all policies in force.
