institutions prohibited from accepting gifts - Penalty. No member of the supervising department, nor any officer, agent, or employee thereof, and no superintendent, officer, manager, or employee of any of the institutions under the charge and control of the supervising department, directly or indirectly, for that person or to benefit any other person, may receive or accept any gift or gratuity from any person dealing in goods, merchandise, or supplies which may be used in any of the institutions, or from any employee, servant, or agent of such person. Any person violating the provisions of this section is guilty of a class A misdemeanor. Such violation is cause for removal from office.
