Text
The department shall administer and enforce this chapter. The department shall:
1.Administer the state hazardous waste management and underground storage tank
programs under this chapter.
2.Survey hazardous waste generation and management practices in the state.
3.Adopt, modify, repeal, and enforce rules governing the management of hazardous
waste and underground storage tanks.
4.Enter agreements with other local, state, or federal agencies regarding responsibilities
for regulating hazardous wastes and underground storage tanks to promote
consistency in enforcement and avoid duplication in regulation.
